Description
This is a fairly common B-club model kit of Sailor Chibimoon, sculpted by Tsuyoshi Maeda, originally released in 1996. I got mine for 2200Yen (original price 6800yen). My favorite kit of Sailor Chibimoon is actually the 1/8 G-port version,
So since I totally didn’t like the kit but just got it because the price was right, I modified it a little to make it more to my liking. The main thing that really annoyed me about the kit was the position of the odango/pigtails. I think they look nicer when they are going out to the side, but this kit had them higher and going more to the back. So I repositioned these and added magic sculpt to fill in the gaps. But after I did this, I ended up not liking the look and I didn’t know how to fix it. Then I was thinking that the bangs are looking flat, so I sculpted a new layer of bangs on top of the old. And for her hair clips, I glued them standing up instead of lying flat.
The original model has her hand straight up without holding anything. I made her wand from various materials; only the very bottom of it is magic sculpt. And then I added wired ribbon and red plastic wire for a magic effect.
Duo Aqua paint was used for everything except the white, boots and odango covers, which is iridescent glass paint. I also used some Artisan Cadmium red light. Also the hair clips and tiara are Golden acrylic paint.
I used a jewel for the tiara stone. I wanted to use an ice pink instead of the red. I added a little heart jewel on her brooch also.
