This is a complete tutorial of how I build my model kits and paint them with water mixable oil paints. Models are generally not ready to paint right out of the box. The first 1/3 goes into basic prep stages (skipped washing ^_^; but shows pining, putty, sanding, part fit, primer, etc), and the later 2/3 is just painting, specifically hand shading with Duo Aqua paints.

I also show how I sculpt grass using magic smooth in the middle.

Health precautions
-use dust mask when sanding. I really don't wear goggles when wet sanding higher grade sand paper. If I was using 100 I would have worn them,
- I wear gloves when sanding and putting.
- a lot of fresh air for acryl putty!!

This is really helpful! :D
Out of curiosity, do you finish your figures with anything to protect the paint, like a glaze of any kind, or do you just leave it uncoated?

Wow awesome. I really Liked Trunks' shading. How do you do it?

Thanks ^_^ I use a dry brush for blending. When the brush gets too loaded up with paint, I switch to another dry clean brush. I don't use the same brush that I started with because after I wet it to clean the paint off, it still is a little damp right after. It's best to do the shading over a few days so that the paint has a chance to settle (though sometimes I do it all in one sitting)
