I love this statue, there really needs to be more love figures like this, though I'm disappointed it's a model kit So far I have no skill with those so I probably won't get it. However you do a fine job with the little details like Misato's jeans being faded a bit more on the knees and other places that would get worn out faster. Only problem I have is Misato has brown eyes and this looks like she has blue/grey ones.
Thanks! When I saw the prototype pics of this model I was afraid it was going to be released as PVC only. I was over enjoyed that it was in fact a model kit. There were a lot more model kits released 10 years ago. Now its more PVC releases. I think its great if sculpts can be released both ways, as model kit and completed statue, so everyone is happy.
I always kinda favor light eyes in my kits. So of course browns give me trouble XD I used brown paint for her eyes, but since I did the highlight so huge, lol,her eyes are more white than anything ^_^
This is such a cute couple and I like the way, you've painted them. Misatos eyes are so beautiful and her pants are amazing! They really look like a jeans O.O I also followed your wip and I still can't believe that the shadings in her jeans are done by handbrush... You're really quite a skilled garage kit builder. Great, dear ^^
I really love the shadings on Misatos pants too, itīs amazing how you did that honey. Iīve read your Wip of Misato and Kaji and it is really really impressive, as youīve done it without the airbrush, itīs amazing. The shadings looks much better as if it were done with airbrush.
I very love the pose of this kits and I like how you painted her eyes, they look very soft.
Thanks so much! Yeah I think so many of us believe that the only way to paint is by airbrush. I used to think that also. I'm glad that there are alternate ways to shade just as good and I can show them to others ^_^
